  2. Hello Kathy, at home in Germany I bake my own whole grain bread and am used to buying the grains from a health food store where I have them ground as well. Each summer when visiting my mother, I suffer through 4 weeks of American bread!! This year I have ordered a bread machine and wish to make my own. Please let me know if you are able to sell me grains and grind as well. If not, could you please recommend an internet address for ordering? Many thanks from Hamburg, Dorcas

  3. Hi Dorcas,
We do carry different types of whole grains inc organic wheat, oats, barley, etc but I’m afraid we do not have a grinder. We do sell some beautiful breads baked on Washington Island. They are made of organic wheat grtown on the Island, stone ground and baked in a wood fired brick oven. So perhaps that could be your solution… I don’t know of any websites where you could order freshly ground flours – sorry. Hope that helps if I can be of any other help pls let me know.
    thanks,
    Kathy

  10. Thanks for the suggestion… I will pass it along to Kathy. What’s your favorite item from other menus?

  11. Hi Molly- I am not sure if you are speaking of the limited menu we are offering this season or our regular menu but I do not believe there are any items on our menu that can not be made vegan if you ask. We have all the vegan replacements in the cafe for any cheese or dairy product- with the except of the omelet wrap….thanks, Kathy
