The diet industry is a multi-billion dollar operation in America.
Two-thirds of women and one-third of men are on some sort of diet. But the worst part is that 85% of those people who begin with the best of intentions and even have some success at losing weight, only find themselves slipping back over time, gaining the weight back and then some.
Why are Americans really good at losing weight but terrible at keeping it off? Because diets simply don’t work. On Thursday, March 13 at 1 pm, Nicole Dersé, CNC invites you to learn the secrets of successful weight loss, discover the key fat-burning foods and learn how to detoxify your body for increased metabolism and optimal health in her complimentary presentation.
Each month Nicole visits Greens N Grains in Egg Harbor to share valuable, healthy nutrition-based approaches to achieving your potential in well being.
The journey to good health can sometimes feel too overwhelming to start. As a complement to Nicole’s afternoon workshop, Greens N Grains Dinner and a Movie will present a documentary film entitled, Food Matters on Thursday evening. It is both entertaining and a solution-oriented springboard for taking your first step toward feeling good. Food Matters does not involve hours of lecturing scientists or extremist New Age diet ideas. It’s just eighty minutes of powerful common-sense, practical solutions to our current health crisis.
“It is impossible to pretend that our current healthcare problems don’t exist,” says Kathy Navis, owner of Greens N Grains and collaborator and Nicole Dersé. “What we have come to realize is that we may never be able to completely change the way people eat, but we can do our very best to help people make choices that serve their bodies and our planet.”
In what promises to be the most contentious idea put forward, filmmakers James Colqhuoun and Laurentine ten Bosch present a number of world leaders in nutrition and natural healing who claim that not only are we harming our bodies with improper nutrition, but with the right kind of foods, supplements and detoxification we can treat chronic illnesses as fatal as terminally diagnosed cancer.
Food Matters delivers the message that only you are capable of transcending the madness of our current ‘sickcare industry’ to reclaim the vibrant health that is rightfully yours.
